PYRO Native Bridge Board:The secret ingredient that converts your IDE into a FireWire Drive is the PYRO Native Bridge board. This board comes pre-installed in your PYRO Drive Kit. The PYRO Native Bridge board is 1394a compliant and supports 1394 bus speeds of 100, 200 and 400 Mega bits per second.
What you really want is SPEED:The PYRO 2.5"Drive kit will help you maximize the data throughput of your drive. Data Burst speeds of up to 400 Mbps (50MB/sec) are supported by the 1394 technology. Sustained transfer rates of over 16MB/sec. have been achieved with hard drives in our testing labs. Digital Video only requires 3.9 MB/sec. so you have lots of SPEED left over for other tasks.
